About

I am a fifth-year PhD Student at the Department of Economics, VSB - Technical University of Ostrava. My research focuses on financial stability and non-bank financial intermediation. I have co-authored 2 journal articles and 4 working papers (last update: July 2024).

I work at the Diplomatic Academy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In my daily work, I oversee economic and operational processes in a newly established educational organisation. I am also responsible for strategic planning and communication with stakeholders, including the Scientific Advisory Board.

My work and research

I am an economist with a background in quantitative research and policy analysis. In addition, I am an experienced public servant who is skilled in administrative support, event management and communication activities. In 2022, I was involved in the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU as a Coreper I Coordination Team Member.

My biggest strength is the ability to combine analytical and critical approach with thorough knowledge of administrative processes and project management skills. It means that when you give me a problem to solve, I will provide an in-depth evidence-based analysis, explain all the options and their pros and cons and execute the desired solution.

I was fortunate enough to land a research job at the Czech National Bank only in my first year of the PhD which improved my skills in policy-relevant research, academic writing and econometric modelling.

As a PhD student, I have obtained some teaching experience, mainly in economics courses for Bachelor students. I have also been involved in various research grants and projects, both as an active contributor and a project manager/coordinator.

My background

I am currently finishing my PhD in Economics at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava under the supervision of Martin Hodula. My Master studies, completed in 2020, focused on Economic Policy and Administration. I received my BA with First Class Honours in International Business from Coventry University and spent two years studying Commerce Management (with specialisation in Idea and Innovation Management) at Erhvervsakademi Sjælland.
